Attorney Lawrence J. Bartlett has earned his reputation as a highly skilled, caring attorney.
Attorney Lawrence J. Bartlett, a Chicago native, has been an active member of the State Bar of California since opening his practice in 1978. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1978.
In addition to his full-time law practice, attorney Bartlett taught Business
Law and Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning for seven years -- first
at Mesa College, and then at The University of San Diego Undergraduate
Business School. He often uses his teaching skills to help
clients understand the complexities of the legal system. He has been
a frequent inspirational speaker on the radio in Los Angeles and
San Diego and at a variety of corporate sponsored events. At the
San Diego kickoff event of the Tour of Hope in 2005, Lance Armstrong
recognized Mr. Bartlett with a standing ovation for Mr. Bartlett's
courageous participation in clinical trials in 1991, during which
he overcame a stage-IV cancer diagnosis.
In the San Diego community, attorney Bartlett formerly served on the Scripps Green Cancer Center Planning and Development Board. Attorney Bartlett has also served as a University of San Diego Law School Moot Court Judge, as a B’nai Brith Youth Organization Advisor, as a Big Brother for Big Brothers of San Diego, as a Board Member of the Jewish Family Service, UJF Community Relations Council, Congregation Beth Israel Budget Committee, and Congregation Beth Am Board of Directors and has also served on the Carmel Valley Homeowners’ Association #10 Board of Directors.
